Raffle Question

    Good afternoon,

Our basketball team belongs to the Horizon league. The league gives away a package deal (Tickets and hotel stay - I don't have all the details yet or the value). There is no cost to us.

If the fundraising team markets this as a raffle prize is this okay?

Thanks in advance for your feedback

No.  It really doesn't matter who is providing the prize.  What matters is how the individual is entered into the raffle.  If that is by virtue of a "gift," then there is no charitable donation or deduction.
