Phonathons

In past years, we've conducted two phonathons (October and March), contacting current parents, alumni and friends of our independent K-12 school.  These have been largely in-person events held at school, using paper forms (generated from Blackbaud RE) for the caller information and call results.  In limited cases, we've sent forms to experienced off-site callers.  As we brainstorm for this fall's calling, we'd appreciate any ideas from smaller offices as you weigh the pros and cons of continuing with paper forms in an off-site calling format, versus any simple digital solutions that may be available.

    Hello Karen,

We have always had our phonathons through in person students calling program. This past spring we had Wilson-Bennett Technology Inc. do our calling through their Phoneathon outreach program. We got good quick results and will be doing our upcoming calling (October) again through the same program. We do not use paper forms. We send our data from Ellucian Banner to Wilson-Bennett Technology Inc.  We have been with WBT for about 3 years and it seems to be working well for our Annual Giving team. Before WBT we used RuffaloCODY  for many years.

Karen, the FundList listserv (specifically designed for annual giving programs) has been discussing phonathons extensively recently.  They also held a free Zoom call on this topic earlier in the summer.  Please check out this great resource if you haven'

The link takes you to the FundList website.  From there you can subscribe to the list.

I just clicked on the link I provided and it worked just fine.
