Go Fund Me Gifts

    Dear AASP Community,

    Hello! Does anyone have experience with  gifts coming from funds that have arrived from GO FUND ME? Since the funds would be coming from a variety of individuals, would you credit each individual? Are the funds from Go Fund Me on behalf of each individual? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

    If the fundraiser is established by the charity - not an individual - the legal donor to you is PayPal Giving Fund (a DAF).  They issue receipts to donors - not you.  You may wish to enter soft credits.

    If an individual sets up a gofundme for their own benefit or to raise money to help someone, there is no gift.
