Hey there, Josh - as well as the rest of the list community! I did a check on the list in case anybody had already chatted about the Giving Block and this from almost a year ago is all that popped up.  :-)

CUA has engaged with the Giving Block to handle conveyance of cryptocurrency gifts to the university. I am finding their concept of "customer service" a bit unusual and wondered if any other institutions have selected them as a 'service provider'.  What I find most odd is their complete unwillingness to interact by phone; they insist that only emails (or electronic requests for Zoom meetings if actual conversations are required) are the only options they offer...

Am I really that excessively old and out of touch that potential vendor partners not supporting phone conversations is going to be the new normal?

    Just curious - Amy

Hi Amy - I had a very similar experience with bitpay.  The only customer service option was through the support site.  Responses were so delayed we actually had a board member who is also an investor intercede on our behalf.  I think a contributing factor with bitpay is that nonprofits are a small fraction of their business.  The rest are individuals who are fine with engaging through the app.  I think for any vendor that originates in the tech space we'll have to expect email communication only.
