Are institutions holding Homecoming this year?

    Hi,
I was hoping to get some input from other Colleges and Universities about Homecoming events this fall. We're trying to make a decision about what to do and whether/how to hold a large outdoor event.
Have others made a plan yet? How will/did you make the call?  Will/would you require proof of vaccination? Liability forms? Are you capping attendance? Shortening event length?
Thank you for any feedback you can provide.
    Best,
    Kelly

Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA has decided at this point to only have in person events of 50 people or less through December to support people's comforts and appropriate planning.  We are hopeful that in the spring we will be able to have larger size events.

    Thanks.

    Tom

Kelly, I think the answer depends on the locale.  The University of Northern Iowas recently announced Homecoming 2021 over the weekend of 9/27-10/2.  Clarke University plans to be in person the weekend before.  And my daughter's alma mater, Elon University, is planning on homecoming the first weekend in November.

Those are three that are planning for an in-person homecoming.  But they are all indicating that's the plan, subject to change.

As Tom indicated, many others have announced either virtual or hybrid events.  It's very likely too soon to know for certain how many of these plans will come to fruition.
