Greetings all,

We are currently using an outsourced company that scans newspaper obituaries for any variation on our school name and they send us a weekly consolidated electronic list of the obituaries that we subsequently use to update constituent records. We are currently looking for sources that provide similar services to compare pricing.  Is anyone using a service that they would recommend?  I am aware of other companies that will take a batch and send back death dates as a batch service, but we are looking for a company that would send weekly updates that include our school name in the obituaries.

I use both Google alerts and ObitMessenger, which is a free service through Legacy (https://www.legacy.com/obit-messenger/). We used to have a subscription to Obituary Registry, which is now PBI Research Services, but I would receive alerts from ObitMessenger BEFORE I received anything from PBI. There is also a service that our Strategic Marketing and Communications office uses called Mention (https://mention.com/en/). I hope this info helps!
